The Ultimate List of Halloween Movies [100+ from Scary to Not-So-Scary!]

The Ultimate List of Halloween Movies [80+ from Scary to Not-So-Scary!], halloween movies to watch, #halloweenmovies, spooky movies, not so scary halloween movies, halloween movies for kids, #halloween, #halloweenideas, #scaryhalloweenmovies

Nervous you're going to binge Stranger Things on Friday and still have four days left until Halloween? No worries! Here's the ultimate list of movies to get you in the spooky spirit for Halloween! Everything from not-so-scary to hauntingly scary films across the decades! This list of Halloween flicks has been growing over the last few years and now includes your suggestions as well! I've starred my personal favorites.

I do want to note, the no-so-scary halloween movie list does not mean the movies are appropriate for children! The not-so-scary Halloween movie list is exactly that: not-so-scary. I can't believe I have to say this, but based on some of the messages I received: please use your best judgment, watch trailers, and make a choice appropriate to you or your child's level of scare! If you are looking for Halloween stuff for kids, check out this post on 100 Halloween Books For Kids [For Babies, Young and Older Children!] or 11 Fun + Easy Halloween Activities For Toddlers: Sensory Learning!

Lastly, if you're looking for some fun Halloween DIY crafts to do while binging your favorite Halloween movies, check out this post on The BEST Dollar Tree Halloween DIYs To Try This Year!

I've done my best to include where to stream these Halloween films too, but over the years the streaming networks like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime have kept switching things up on me. Speaking of streaming services, this post contains affiliate links, meaning I may earn a small commission if you click or purchase via the links.

  1. What a great list! I remember most of them and thanks for it, now I’m gonna try to watch them all over again 😀

  2. Thena Reading-Franssen

These are so great. Hocus Pocus is a favorite! I swear, I could binge watch that for days!

  3. Omg some of the scary movies listed give me the chills just thinking about them! The Ring scarred me for life, and I had to stop watching the Paranormal Activity movies after the 3rd one…they got too freaky for me! For some reason, though, I could watch Amytiville Horror over and over again. Must be Ryan Reynolds. Hocus Pocus and The Sixth Sense are my faves! Saving this list, for sure.

    1. YESS!! Amityville and Texas Chainsaw i can watch on a loop! I had to turn paranormal activity off 20 minutes into the first one! All this freaky stuff started happening in our house (dogs freaking out, lights in distant rooms randomly turning on and off, no thank you!)
